Calculate Insurance Needs
As the fall-like temps make their reappearance, I can’t help to think back about summer and how much time and effort I made into making my new seasonal spot feel like home. It was fun doing cost-effective projects from putting in my firepit, making the platform for my little gazebo and shed, and rebuilding my deck. All in all, I am very pleased with the way my campsite turned out, and I am even more excited that I kept Project Money in mind as I went along the way. I spent around $700 total on all the projects at the campground! The one I think I am most proud of is my flower bed. I bought several distressed plants at Home Depot for $1 each! I am happy to report that those plants I got have done well! The Blooming Weigela has come back to life. That plant was worth over $30 in good condition, so if that’s the only one that comes back next year, I did okay! Out of the 11 plants that I bought, I only lost 4 of them. They were all distressed, so I had to nurse them back to health, which is hard to do considering I am only there on the weekends generally. I am so pleased with the way everything turned out! I have all the other seasonal campers to thank for that. In addition to helping me build out many of these projects, they always ask me if I want something before they toss it or donate it. They know that I will most likely take it and repurpose it. It has become a fun game to me now. I have enjoyed challenging myself on how to make my little peaceful spot better. I am excited to carry this mentality into the fall and winter months as I turn my attention to my house.
