I still can’t believe that I will be turning 40 in November. Forty years around the sun, as they say. I don’t feel like I look 40, and I don’t feel 40. Even though this is a milestone party for me, I am keeping Project Money in mind while I am making plans for my party. That being said, I am trying to make this party memorable but on a budget!Even though I serve as the Secretary on the Board of the Directors for the New Barons Brewing Cooperative, I was a member-owner first. This membership comes with lots of perks. One perk is a free beer for life every time I go, but another cool perk is your membership allows you to rent out the brewery for free! That’s wild! I am super excited to celebrate my special day with so many people I love and care about, and I am also stoked about having my party at such a cool place! Now that I have the location figured out, I can move on to decorations! Obviously, I will be hitting up the Dollar Tree for some of the basics, but a friend of mine suggested ordering other décor items off of Temu. The stuff there is significantly cheaper than places like Amazon and Party City. Although those places are awesome in a pinch, I am really trying to keep costs down by planning ahead of time. Also, I am very lucky that friends and family have offered to bring food items to the party as well. Even though I thoroughly enjoy cooking, I am super excited to have some of the tasty treats other people are bringing as well. This will definitely help to keep costs down while still allowing for an epic party!
