Britt and Matt's Coach
Over 17 years in the financial world, Tori’s been a teller, supervisor, personal banker, office support, lender and now Assistant Branch Manager at Summit’s Hartford branch. She’s looking forward to helping Britt and Matt craft a plan to make their short- and long-term goals happen. Q: What’s the biggest thing that Project Money does for people? A: Talking through goals and getting budgeting guidance helps people see that taking control of money isn’t as scary as it may seem. There’s always room for improvement if you put your mind to it.Q: Any overall tips for Britt’s and Matt’s journey? A: Remember why you applied to Project Money and stay focused on your goals and the task at hand. Things won’t always be easy but share challenges along with successes. I’ll support you on your journey and beyond.Q: To you, what’s the one financial “must?” A: Be aware of everything coming out of your bank account each month – from gym memberships to subscriptions – and eliminate things that no longer serve you.Q: Have you had any “Aha” moments in your own financial journey? A: At times, it’s been hard not to feel pressure to “keep up” with more financially secure family and friends. I’ve learned it’s important to know your financial picture isn’t the same as others’, and healthy habits for YOU are best.Q: What do you love most about what you do at Summit? A: I love getting to share my knowledge to help my team grow as financial coaches. By helping members find ways to save on loans and earn more for their money, we really can make a difference in their lives.Q: Fun fact about you? A: My husband and I have two kids (ages 4 and 2) and a dog. Our family loves making obstacle courses, dancing and playing games together. I also enjoy planning themed parties, and my husband and I team up on home renovations – including his Cincinnati Bengals “man cave.”
