Steph's Coach
Takarra says understanding finances didn’t happen early in life for her, but it was life-changing when it did. This drives her passion to help educate members and she also talks openly with her family about smart money choices. Now she’s helping Steph with her own life-changing Project Money journey!Q: What’s the biggest thing that Project Money does for people?A: It gets them on track, which is the hardest part. Once someone’s on track, it’s actually hard to get off track because habits become so routine.Q: Any overall tips for Steph’s journey?A: Steph seems really driven and goal-oriented, which is a great first step. So I’d just say to be open to being held accountable, and we’ll follow each other's leads to get her where she wants to go.Q: To you, what’s the one financial “must?”A: Treat savings as a bill.Q: What’s something you wish you could tell everyone about finances?A: Don’t let things get too far before coming in. There are a lot of options we can go over that you may not think of, and we’re not here to judge. Being vulnerable about your financial picture helps you truly move forward and change.Q: What do you love most about what you do at Summit?A: Educating young members on their finances, especially if they’re opening an account because of a first job. I get to help them off to the right start early on! But I love helping anyone. When someone meets their first goal, it pushes them to reach further.Q: Fun fact about you?A: I’m a wife and a mom of 3 children (ages 15, 11 and 6) and our family enjoys beach vacations. I love going to concerts and trying new foods and restaurants.
